Monday 29th July

Caterpillar Playtime

Find out how to play all sorts of ball games. Then make a caterpillar with a ball and a cardboard cylinder.

Most suitable for age 6 and under.

Tuesday 30th July: 

T-shirt Printing

Design and create a T-shirt inspired by our new exhibition, The Games!

Most suitable for age 4+

Tuesday 30th July: 

The Butterfly Effect

Join Whitchurch Art Café to make a recycled butterfly to add to our art installation on display outside the museum. Bring a used (but clean) crisp packet or other snack wrapper and turn it into a beautiful butterfly. For every butterfly created, make a pledge for one small change that can make a big difference to our planet – the butterfly effect.

1.00pm – 2.30pm,  free – drop in, no need to book

 

Wednesday 31st July:

Work & Play Holiday Club

Struggling for childcare over the summer holidays? Looking for something enriching and engaging for your children to do whilst you work or whilst you take a break? We have the answer…bring them to the River & Rowing Museum! This summer we are launching Work and Play Wednesdays.

Suitable for all primary school aged children.

9.30am – 4.00pm, £26 for one child, £48 for two. Full information and booking link here:

Thursday 1st August:

Hobby Horses!

Make a hobby horse smart enough to show jump! Find out more about the importance of horses to Henley’s history.

Treasure Trolley

We will also have our Treasure Trolley out on some afternoons and Fridays where you can enjoy object handling and badge making. Keep an eye on our social media channels to see when to catch it!

Please Note:

All children must be accompanied by an adult (18+), free of charge. Activity charge is in addition to Museum admission, but you do not need to visit the Museum to access the activities.
